Live audio and verse tracking: common fixes

The page is open, but there is no sound

Press the play control in the top bar. Browsers often require a tap or click before playing audio. Check that the audio control is not muted, then check the volume on your device and any connected headphones or speakers.

If audio had been playing and then stopped, check whether a sleep timer finished. Return to the browser tab and press play again. Mobile browsers may pause media when another app takes audio focus or when the device restricts background activity.

The video buffers or cannot load

A live broadcast needs a working internet connection and an available stream source. Give the player time to reconnect, or use its retry control if shown. You can also reload the page. A source outage can affect video even when the rest of the website loads normally.

If the stream remains unavailable, try the original Aloula Quran channel using the Aloula link at the top of the video. You can continue reading any surah in the Quran library while waiting for the broadcast to return.

The text appears ahead of or behind the recitation

There is nothing to adjust. The page has one player, picture and sound together, and each ayah is marked with the moment in the broadcast it was recited; the reader highlights it when the player reaches that moment. A slow connection delays the text and the audio equally, so they stay together.

Now and then an ayah shows a few seconds late, when recognition took longer than usual on it; the next one is back in time. If the highlight is on a different ayah altogether, that is recognition rather than timing (see below). If the player has stopped, the reader simply follows detection until you press play again.

The reader is waiting or shows an unexpected verse

Verse tracking only updates when the system recognizes Quran recitation. Silence, announcements, and other speech may leave the reader on its previous passage. A waiting message does not necessarily mean that the player has failed.

Recognition is automated and can make mistakes. Use the Quran library to check a passage and allow the live reader time to recognize the next ayah. A disconnected status means the verse service cannot currently be reached; reconnecting to the internet or reloading may help, but a service outage must be resolved by the project.

When the service is unavailable

If the verse service cannot reconnect, the Quran library and page reader remain available. The original broadcast can be opened through the Aloula source link. Try the live player again later; changing reader settings will not fix an upstream outage.
